Youngstown State senior sprinter Anthony Woods has been invited to compete in American Track League Eastern Indoors on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
The 60-meter event will feature 19 runners representing eight countries (United States, Great Britian, Canada, Liberia, Ghana, Guyana, Bahamas, Jamaica). Woods enters the race owning the seventh-quickest personal-best mark with a time of 6.57 clocked at the YSU Icebreaker on Dec. 3.
Just three tenths of a second separate the entire 19-man field, ranging from Demek Kemp’s top-overall time of 6.48, to Stephan James’ personal-best time of 6.78.
The ATL is a unique and condensed professional meet that gives spectators the opportunity to see reigning Olympic medalists, along with top-tier athletic performances. Overall, the exclusive meet will feature 20 men’s and women’s events and be televised on ESPN2 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST.
