The Centennial State has some of the mildest and most ideal weather in the country (hello, 300 days of sunshine each year!), but some days are too hot or cold to play sports outdoors. The solution? An indoor sports dome like this one in Northern Colorado just so happens also to be one of the largest in the world:
Welcome to the epic (and aptly named) Future Legends Complex!
Located in Windsor, Future Legends is just that: a gigantic arena that hosts and trains some of the best youth athletes in the state over a massive 118-acre sports complex.
While the entire state-of-the-art facility is impressive, the most exciting part may be the indoor multipurpose dome that stands nearly 100 feet tall and 167,000 square feet long, making it one of the largest in the world.
Thanks to its size, there is space in the dome for multiple games and activities at once via two baseball fields, four flag football fields, 16 volleyball courts, nine basketball courts, and more.
In addition to the indoor portion, the dome will also boast outdoor features (16 pickleball courts and four beach volleyball courts) and an attached bar and restaurant.
As if the dome – which is slated to open in late 2022 – itself wasn’t impressive enough, Future Legends is also home to countless outdoor fields and training facilities for various sports, on-site dining and accommodations, and even an esports arena!
