Zach O’Brien’s second goal of the game 4:58 into overtime gave the Newfoundland Growlers a 4-3 victory Sunday over the Maine Mariners, completing a sweep of their four-game series in St. John’s, Newfoundland.

Maine erased a 3-1 deficit in the third period on goals by Cameron Askew and Nick Jermain, who tied it with 3:41 left in regulation.

Mathew Santos scored in the first period for the Mariners, and Jeremy Brodeur made 38 saves.

GOLF

EUROPEAN TOUR: Ryan Fox secured the biggest title of his career by winning the Ras Al Khaimah Classic by five shots in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

It was the 211th-ranked New Zealander’s first victory in a 72-hole format on the European tour.

Ross Fisher finished second after a closing 66.

ENGLAND: Fabinho scored from close range on his own rebound in the 40th minute, and Liverpool continued its pursuit of Manchester City in the Premier League title race with a 1-0 victory at last-place Burnley.

• West Ham’s week of controversy ended with some relief after Craig Dawson scored a late equalizer off his shoulder to earn a 2-2 draw at Leicester.

Dawson salvaged a point in the first minute of second-half stoppage time after Jarrod Bowen put the Hammers ahead in the 10th.

Central defender Kurt Zouma was in the initial lineup but did not play after he was reported to be feeling sick with problems with his vision. His withdrawal came at the end of a week in which he was fined two weeks’ wages and lost his Adidas sponsorship after he was filmed kicking and slapping his cat.

• Wolverhampton took advantage of dreadful defending by Tottenham to win 2-0 and strengthen its hopes of a top-four finish.

Wolves scored both their goals in the opening 18 minutes, through Raul Jimenez and Leander Dendoncker, as they moved within four points of fourth-place West Ham with two games in hand.

GERMANY: Marco Reus scored twice to lead Borussia Dortmund to a 3-0 win at Union Berlin and cut Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga lead to six points.

SWITZERLAND: U.S. national team striker Jordan Pefok scored his career-high 19th goal of the season, helping Young Boys beat visiting Basel 3-1 in the Swiss Super League.

TENNIS

ABN AMRO: Felix Auger-Aliassime won his first career title his his ninth ATP final, upsetting top-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-2 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

ST. PETERSBURG LADIES TROPHY: Anett Kontaveit overcame Maria Sakkari 5-7, 7-6 (4), 7-5 in the final for her fourth straight indoor title.

It was the Estonian player’s 20th consecutive indoor win, which includes her runs to titles at Ostrava, Moscow and Cluj-Napoca at the end of last season.
