New York Mayor Lifts Vaccine Requirement for Professional Athletes – The Wall Street Journal

Athletes who haven’t been vaccinated for Covid-19 will be allowed to play professional sports in New York City under a policy change Mayor Eric Adams announced Thursday, clearing the way for Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving to return for the NBA playoffs and the Mets’ and Yankees’ full rosters to be ready for baseball’s opening day.

“We were treating our performers differently because they lived and played for home teams, Mr. Adams said Thursday. “That’s not acceptable.”
