Mir Ali Indoor cricket academy launched – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Going one step further, Mir Ali Cricket Academy has launched its indoor academy at Azamabad in the city. Telangana home minister Mahmood Ali officially inaugurated the tournament along with Musheerabad MLA Muta Gopal a couple of days ago.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahmood Ali said Mir Ali Academy should continue its good work and produce many more players of national and international repute. He said that the Telangana government has been on the forefront in encouraging sports in the state.
Academy head coach Mir Wasim Ali said that the academy has been training youngsters for the last several years. “At present we have more than 45 youngsters undergoing training at the academy. We have participated in several domestic tournaments and won 12-13 tournaments so far.
“We have been providing training from the grassroots to under-19 category. The training would be given in two sessions, both morning and evening. All the trainees are divided into different categories based on their age groups. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, our academy was giving training to nearly 120 players. But due to the pandemic, several players had stopped coming to the academy,” he said and hoped that the boys would resume their training soon.
Director of the Academy Mir Mustafa Ali, head coach Mir Wasim Ali, coaches Mir Syed Ali, Md Kaleem, Mir Hyder Ali and Mir Sher Ali were also present.
