“First and foremost, all glory to God for giving me the gifts and patience to continue competing at the level I am,” Holmes said. “Also, thank you to the coaches for voting for me, as it is a true honor to be named the indoor performer of the year. I have had one heck of a journey to get where I am at today and that is all thanks to the wonderful support system I have around me, including my family, friends, coaches, teammates, trainers and support staff. We have something special going in Miami and I am confident this won’t be the last time a Hurricane is named performer of the year.”
