The Youngstown State women’s tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Cleveland State on Saturday afternoon at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.

With the victory, Cleveland State earns the Horizon League regular-season title at 6-0 while YSU finishes 5-1 in league play.

The match started off on a good note for the Penguins as they earned the doubles point. YSU won matches at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to jump out to a 1-0 lead.

However, the Vikings won five of six singles matches to earn the league title.

Winning for the Penguins in singles was Elisa Rigazio at No. 4.

YSU is next in action on Saturday at the Horizon League Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich.
